Scoil Eoin Newsletter - November 2005

Dear Parents,

Now that we are all well settled back into school life I would like to take this opportunity to welcome both you and your children back to Scoil Eoin
To new parents and children who are coming for the first time I extend a special welcome and I trust that your experiences with the school will be pleasant and memorable and both educationally and socially beneficial to your child/children.

Next to you, the parents, who are the primary educators of your children we would see the school playing a very important role in laying the foundations for your child’s future development and growth. Working with you we will do our utmost to ensure that each child receives a good broad education that will be the basis for this development. We look forward to working together during this new school year.

We have 35 new junior Infants this year and there are 267pupils attending the school.
There are 14 teachers on staff this year
-10 mainstream class teachers
-3 Special Education teachers
-1 principal.

During the year I hope to send you a number of Newsletters, keeping you informed of school activities and school policies.

1. School uniforms/tracksuits: are to be worn as outlined in our school prospectus. Full school uniforms are to be worn at all times, except on P.E. days or if pupils are partaking in any sporting events (School tracksuits). School uniform or school tracksuit cannot be substituted by alternative types of clothing.

• Tights must be plain red/grey/black.
• Jumpers and tracksuit tops should be clearly labelled with child’s name. If you require pre-printed name tags please contact me. The school will not accept any responsibility for lost jumpers/tracksuit tops.
Labelling tracksuits/jumpers will also eliminate confusion as to the ownership of tops.
