Red Days:
Due to the enormous success of Cork in hurling, camogie, and ladies
football we have had a number of “Red Days” Thank you for
your support in making these days a tremendous success.
We had a visit from members of the Cork Senior hurlers and Cork Senior
Camogie panels, with their respective trophies. Hopefully we will have
the Ladies Football Cup in the near future. Congratulations to all involved.
20. Headlice:
Head-lice causes problems in most primaryschool.
Regular checking and fine combing (treating where necessary) is the only
way to beat the bug. Failure to do so by any one family will almost certainly
result in an outbreak of head-lice infestation.
Any notes on this issue will require your signature .
21. Collecting /leaving off children: Church Yard:
The issue of safety and accessibility to the church yard is a very important
issue for us all.. Read the attached letter, re. Car park carefully and
please observe the few simple rules. Also talk to your children about
safety in the car park and the need to be extra vigilant when entering
and leaving the park.
I will also speak to the classes about safety “coming to”
and “leaving school.”
22. Departmental Circulars/Guidelines:
As in other years these circulars and Departmental Guidelines are available
to you in the Principal’s Office.
24. Irish Dancing:
Irish Dancing will continue again this year. Eileen O’Dwyer is
our dancing teacher. All pupils from 1st to 6th class will partake in
these lessons. This was a huge success last year and we look forward to
the same this year.
